About Us
|
St Leonard’s is an Anglican church in a small town setting, 25 miles north of London between Amersham and Chesham. Our desire is to see people and society transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ and to share this in a way that is relevant to all. We aim to be open and outward looking where all are welcomed and valued. We believe that being a disciple of Jesus Christ impacts how we live and the way we relate to others. We seek to encounter God through our worship and through His grace, live life to the full, bringing glory to God and richness to our world and society. We value the presence and activity of the Spirit of God in His Church; the Holy Scriptures, Worship and Prayer, and aim to express grace, generosity, integrity and encouragement in our everyday lives. We recognise that the imperative of the 'Great Commission', being and making disciples, goes hand in hand with the 'Great Commandment', to love one another as we are loved by God. We are committed to Bible-based teaching, prayer and reliance upon the Holy Spirit, seeking to heal, encourage, equip and release members into their ministries and callings. We are open to forms of worship, ministry and evangelism that will spread the Gospel and see the Kingdom of God influence our communities and nations. You are welcome to join us at any of our main services. If you are new to the church we hope you will feel at home. You may like to consider joining the Alpha Course which is an excellent way to get to know new people and find out more about us. Huw Davies Jamie Murray
