Hope for Burundi

Burundi is one of the five poorest contries of the world and is recovering from the effects of civil war.

Where there is a genuine response to the message of the kingdom of God, the power of the Holy Spirit can change the hearts of men and women, fighting ceases, wounded lives are healed and people can begin to live in alongside each other in peace.

The Archbishop of Burundi has invited St.Leonard’s to help in two very practical ways:  

Sending a Global Alpha Training Team to Burundi in Spring 2012

Buying latrines and the provision of hygiene education through the Toilet Twinning set up by Tearfund and Cord International:
